MASTERS ATHLETES/Maverick Generation

Maverick Generation is a long term project in collaboration with Alex Rotas and supported by Independent Age. The project, and resulting full length documentary will follow the lives of Masters Athletes between the ages of 50 and 85 as they train to compete in international competitions. We'll explore what motivates these women to keep training and competing at such a high level, we'll meet their families, friends, coaches, and club mates to show the highs and lows, as they defy societal expectations and challenge negative stereotypes of ageing.
