About Danielle Sellwood (above right with Alex Rotas):

With a professional journey spanning over three decades in the creative industries, Danielle Sellwood is a respected innovator who has traversed the realms of design, trend forecasting, and sports journalism. Co-founder of Sportsister.com, a pioneering sports website for women, Danielle directed visual campaigns at Women's Sport Trust, effecting transformative changes in the representation of female athletes.

 

In 2017, Danielle, along with Nicola Waterworth, co-founded Find It Film. What started as a celebration of women's stories through a film festival swiftly evolved into a full-fledged video production venture. The films produced by Danielle have earned acclaim at numerous international festivals. Presently engaged in various film projects, Danielle's commitment extends to ensuring accessibility for all, with captioned and audio-described versions of content.

Sporting History

Danielle's personal adventures include being a former GB Team canoeist, holding the record for the Devizes to Westminster 125-mile canoe race. Presently finding joy in open water swimming, running, triathlons, surfing, and a weekly game of badminton, Danielle's favourite place is within the cosy confines of her camper van, surrounded by a picturesque view, a brewing kettle, and the company of family or friends. Memorable adventures include surfing in the Outer Hebrides and completing three times in the Devizes to Westminster 125-mile canoe race.

 

Collaboration

Collaboration is at the heart of Find It Film's ethos. Danielle is currently partnering with Coldhouse Collective (below left), delivering accessible film sessions at prestigious festivals such as Banff Mountain Film Festival, Kendal Mountain Festival, and Sheffield Adventure Film Festival. Through workshops, filmmakers are empowered to make their creations accessible, supported by an open-source guide distributed worldwide.
